Details

This is the oldest mosque located at Dariapur in the present Gaibandha district. According to the inscriptions on the front of the mosque, a religious figure named Syed Wazed Ali discovered and renovated the mosque in 1308 AD. Later the name of a religious warrior named Shah Sultan became associated with it. This mosque is known by his name. The tomb of Shah Sultan Ghazi is also located next to this mosque. At present fairs are held here every Baishakh month.
